Supplement reviews that read the label — and the checkout page.
It's 3:15 a.m. Third trip tonight. You're standing there waiting on a stream that won't cooperate, phone in your other hand — and every result on that screen wants to sell you something. We know, because we've read them all: most supplement review sites are written by people who profit from the traps — the hidden auto-ship, the pre-checked upsell box, the countdown timer that resets when you refresh.
This site does the opposite. We check every formula's doses against the published research, walk every checkout the way a buyer would, and read the guarantee terms down to who pays return shipping. Then we rank. Think of it as an older brother who's done the homework, standing between you and the funnel.
Who runs it: an independent review desk, writing for men over 45. No supplement company pays us, sponsors us, or sees a ranking before you do — and a brand that dislikes its warning in print cannot buy its way out of it. We take no money from brands to rank their products. What we do instead is the reading most men don't have an evening for: the label, the checkout, and the refund terms, checked before you spend anything.
Disclosure: we earn an affiliate commission if you buy through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. That is the business model — and it's exactly why our methodology is public. Full details on our disclosure page.
Our top picks: prostate supplements
Prostate formulas are where the money, the marketing, and the traps are biggest — so it's where we started. Four products dominate the category. Here is the short version; the full head-to-head is in our prostate supplements comparison.
ProstaVive
Format: powder drink mix · Guarantee: 180 days
The most in-demand formula in the category, with a 180-day guarantee and a powder format that skips the giant-capsule problem. The colostrum marketing angle deserves skepticism — the guarantee doesn't.
TitanFlow
Format: capsules · Guarantee: 180 days
The most comprehensive ingredient label of the four — beta-sitosterol, pygeum, pomegranate, boron — and the most consistent results in the buyer reports we reviewed. Watch the bundle pressure at checkout.
Prostadine
Format: liquid drops · Guarantee: 60 days
For men who can't face more horse pills. Buyer reports credit it with real urgency relief — and complain about the taste, the customer service, and a refund process with friction built in.
Prosta Peak
Format: capsules · Guarantee: 180 days
The one confirmed subscription offer of the four. A subscription can be convenient — if you walk in knowing exactly how it bills and how to cancel. Our review covers both, in plain language.
A reader's story: the $180 mistake
What we check that other review sites don't
The dose, not the ingredient list. "Contains saw palmetto" is marketing. The research that exists for saw palmetto used 320 mg/day of an extract standardized to 85–95% fatty acids — a standard most products never state, let alone meet. Beta-sitosterol, the ingredient with the most consistent trial evidence behind it, was studied at 30–91 mg/day. If a label hides its amounts inside a "proprietary blend," we say so, and the score reflects it.
The checkout, not just the sales page. We document what a buyer actually meets: pre-checked add-on boxes, subscription terms, countdown timers, bundle pressure. In this category, more money is lost to checkout design than to bad formulas.
The guarantee, in practice. A "180-day money-back guarantee" means little if claiming it requires an RMA number, return shipping at your expense to an overseas P.O. box, and a 30-day wait. We report the window and the process, including buyer-reported friction.
Third-party testing. Independent testers like ConsumerLab buy products off the shelf and check what's actually inside. Their published findings in this category include an "extra strength" saw palmetto product with less than half its claimed content, and a product that hit its fatty-acid numbers with olive-oil filler instead of saw palmetto. Products with exact milligram labels and recognized testing (ConsumerLab, USP, NSF) get credit here; products that refuse both get named for it.
Five red flags — walk away when you see them
- "Shrinks your prostate." No supplement has been shown to do this. Not one.
- A countdown timer on the checkout page. Pressure marketing, not science. Refresh the page — if the timer resets, you have your answer.
- A "proprietary blend" with no milligram amounts. You cannot tell a studied dose from a dusting, and neither can we. That's the point of hiding it.
- A smiling "doctor" endorsing the brand. In this category, those are overwhelmingly stock photos and actors. Real urologists do not endorse supplement brands.
- A subscription you can't find the cancel button for. The single most common complaint in this industry, by a wide margin.

An honest starting note: supplements in this category, at their best, are symptom-support products. Buyer experience and the clinical literature agree they do not cure anything and do not shrink an enlarged prostate. If your symptoms are affecting your sleep most nights, the most useful page on the internet for you is a urologist's appointment scheduler — and every symptom page on this site will tell you the same.
